Naturally Chic Micro Weddings and Elopements
The mountains are our home and Naturally Chic was born in 2009 with a love for adventure!
While we have been known to produce “lodge take-over weddings”, our specialty has always been small weddings and elopements (we didn’t start doing them because of COVID)! Intimate weddings in natural settings are our jam!
A few words from Sharon – The Mountain Wedding Specialist
I saw a need for weddings with a natural aesthetic that was suited to our breathtaking scenery and local mountain lodges. Weddings in the city and in the mountains are very different! Not only are the aesthetics different, but so are the logistics of planning a destination wedding in the mountains! Sometimes the weather isn’t perfect and things get dirty! In the mountains, you take the good (spectacular) with the (not so) bad.
Weddings, Elopements, and Proposals in Banff, Canmore, Lake Louise, Emerald Lake, Jasper & Beyond
We’ve provided wedding services for the past 10+ years…all in the mountains. It’s what we know we know best! We have produced everything from elopements for two, micro weddings for 24, and lodge weddings for 150. We have done outdoor ceremonies in winter at -38° (the bride from South Africa insisted on it because she wanted the Canadian experience), and micro weddings on top of the “rock pile” at Moraine Lake in 30° + weather in the summer (complete with the bride in hiking boots). We had a small wedding ceremony on the banks of Baker Creek (under a small tent in the pouring rain – the year of the unprecedented flooding in the Bow Valley). We’ve had a couple’s first dance under the moonlight with the snow softly falling. We even had a wedding ceremony on the bridge at Emerald Lake Lodge (it was the only outdoor location on the property to seat enough guests for the “Island buy-out”). We also produced intimate wedding receptions overlooking the turquoise water! One of our favorite recent weddings was an outdoor micro wedding complete with a canopy covered with flowers, on the terrace of the Banff Springs Hotel with views of the Bow River. We’ve also done some amazing wedding proposals there!
